A treatment with my own kinesiologist


“What do I make that mean?” Another therapist said to herself during her session with me, whilst discussing a family situation. ⁣ ⁣ As I tell all of my clients, 95% of our brain activity is subconscious. That means that we aren’t very aware of the emotional charge, or meaning we apply to certain situations, (or even the thoughts we have about them).⁣ ⁣ It takes an outside party (like me) to ask you the questions you're not asking yourself. ⁣ ⁣ Similarly, I get someone to do that for me. ⁣ ⁣ What I learned in my session with my Kinesiologist this week In summary: I had been associating ‘needs’ with disgust. Yep!⁣ ⁣ Read again. For me, on a subconscious level, the feeling I associated with ‘needs’ was ‘disgust’.⁣ ⁣ Why did I feel that way?! Basically I was becoming far too attached to my spiritual self; placing a higher value on that part of me. In the process, I was neglecting my human needs (brushing off my emotions, and um not even making time to buy groceries). Basically forgetting that I was human (lol).⁣ ⁣ However, on a symptomatic level, it came up as frustration.⁣ It started two weeks ago when I found myself getting frustrated (because I had overworked myself and) when someone needed something from me, I had nothing I hadn't filled my own cup. The universe was bringing this lesson to me in very humorous ways. ⁣ ⁣ So here we have:⁣ ⁣ Motivating feelings: Connection to spirit. Avoidance of disgust ⁣ Behaviour: Overdoing it (not meeting needs)⁣ Resulting symptom: Frustration⁣ ⁣ Many times we will just get to the point of frustration but not really know why, bringing tension into our encounters with our loved ones and colleagues, or even while driving on the road. ⁣ ⁣ An overwhelming majority of my clients present with symptoms associated with unmet needs, and all have their own subconscious meaning as to why. Here are a few examples that have come up in clinic this week:⁣ ⁣ Power Being 'tough' Professional/family reputation Capability Perfection ⁣ So we unpack the formula from your subconscious mind. We observe it. We ask ourselves if it’s working for us, and *how long we wish to continue living out this formula*. It's a big question, I know!⁣ ⁣ It’s okay though. These patterns can be easily resolved and released.⁣ ⁣ I’m only human (so I learned!). So if I can do it, you can too.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Love, Jas
